MEET THE LAUFERS

Rabbi Shmuli and Rivky Laufer embarked on their life journey together in 2022. They are a dynamic couple who have been involved in Jewish education and outreach all their lives. Shmuli and Rivky are known for their warm and welcoming hospitality. Their many guests enjoy their passionate sharing of Judaism, friendly atmosphere and great food!

In 2024 the Laufers moved to Greenlawn to establish a new Jewish Chabad Center to cater to the Jewish community of Greenlawn & Centerport. Chabad of Greenlawn offers a variety of adult and children’s educational programming including courses from the world renowned Jewish Learning Institute, Jewish Women’s Circle and Holiday and Shabbat programming.  In addition, they offer a wide range of other Jewish services including officiating at weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, funerals and visits to senior homes and hospitals. The Laufers have a Jewish lending library and are delighted to host one-on-one or small group study sessions with all who have a question or subject they’d like to explore.
